The Jump Up! for Sandbox Percussion and volunteer percussionists was premiered at the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, in Katonah, NY on Sunday, July 21, 2024 , and performed again at the University of San Diego on April 26, 2025. Proverb, an early partial version of the piece was performed at Tippet Rise Arts Center in Montana on September 2nd and 3rd, 2023.

The recording of Savage Winter is now out on Albany Records, available as a CD and for streaming. This re-imagining of the text that Schubert set as Winterreise, features me on guitar and my long time collaborators and friends Tony Boutté (voice), Frank London (trumpet) and Alan Johnson (music director, conductor, keyboards).

After performances at the London Philharmonic and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, a raft, the sky, the wild sea, my concerto for saxophonist Joe Lovano, will be performed at the Winton-Salem Symphony on Jan. 6th and 7th, 2024.

Seven Limbs, originally written for string quartet and guitarist Nels Cline, is being presented with saxophonist Joe Lovano taking over what had been Nels part in this exciting new version. The Overlook Quartet with be performing with Joe, at GatherNYC, on Sunday, Feb. 4th at the Museum of Arts and Design. Note the early starting time - 11am.

On Sept. 9th Savage Winter will be performed outdoors in a semi-staged version at PS21 in Chatham NY. This evening length piece is based on Wilhelm Müller’s Winterreise poems and features three of my long-time collaborators: the tenor Tony Boutté, trumpeter Frank London, Alan Johnson on piano and myself on guitar and electronics.
